 VETERAN TALKS ABOUT BUILDING THE NEW VA CLINIC

Terry Simning is helping to build the new VA Clinic in Somerset, Kentucky. He works for Owens Construction, the General Contractor on the project and he says, as a veteran, this particular job means a little more to him. Here, he talks about how it feels to work to improve the lives of veterans — and it turns out he has a good bit of past experience — building and remodeling houses in California for disabled and amputee veterans.

This was created to be one of the new cover videos that Facebook began allowing in 2017. The footage was taken from the available building lot at the top of MedPark Drive right next to the new VA Clinic.

Lexington’s CBS affiliate was on hand for the groundbreaking ceremony to kick off construction of the new VA Clinic at the top of MedPark Drive. In a brief interview, Dr. Brent Cherry, President of MedPark West Development, notes a few of the advances veterans can expect when the new facility opens in 2018.
